After two years of traveling the globe, the riders and crew from Where The Trail Ends had amassed a collection of artifacts, journal entries, sketches, and notes that provided a new level of depth to the filming project. After combing through the collections, listening to stories, and viewing the raw edits, it was apparent that this material had a story of it’s own.
With a few months remaining before the film premiere, we assembled the same team that worked on the award winning Art of Flight and got to work.
After 2 months, 2 hundred pages, and 2 weeks on press, we emerged with the journaled experience of Where The Trail Ends.
Copies of the journal come complete with a polaroid from the film making process, a strip of 35mm negatives, mystery currency from the countries visited, all packaged in an authentic hand dyed canvas bag.
Behind the Lens
In addition to the behind the scenes perspective captured in this print piece, the book features the amazing lens-work of Blake Jorgensen, John Gibson, Scott Markewitz, Brad McGregor, Justin Olsen, Nicholas Schrunk, and John Wellburn. We’re eternally grateful to have been able to put their work on paper.
Featuring a smith sewn hardbound linen cover, multiple paper stocks, UV and Conventional Offset printing, 2 x Foilstamps, 2x Double Gatefolds, and a custom canvas bag. No detail was spared in creating the most honest representation of time spent behind the lens and on the road while pursuing the pinnacle of freeriding.
